Frequently asked questions
Which actions cost credits?
Every AI action costs 1 credit: an analysis, a generated reply, a quiz or practice session, text recognition from a photo, and rephrasing text. Transcribing audio and improving your own text cost 2 credits, since those are heavier to process.
Do my credits expire?
No. Purchased credits never expire — you keep them for as long as you use the app.
Is my data stored or used to train AI?
Not by default. Submitted text, audio and images are only forwarded to the AI services to process your request, and never used to train AI models. By default we don't store anything permanently on our server. If you optionally turn on history sync (Settings → Account), your analyses are stored — linked to your account, so you can see them on your other devices — and you can turn this off again at any time. See our privacy policy for details.
What languages does the app support?
The interface is available in 13 languages: Dutch, English, Danish, German, Finnish, French, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish and Portuguese (European and Brazilian). The app analyses content in virtually any language you feed it, regardless of the interface language.
Do I pay a subscription?
No. You buy credits once and use them at your own pace — nothing is ever billed automatically.
Is there an iOS version?
Not yet — Rhetoriq is currently Android only.
How reliable is the AI analysis?
Rhetoriq isn't running on an off-the-shelf chatbot prompt — it's a purpose-built, tested system that recognises a fixed list of dozens of fallacies and manipulation techniques, with explicit rules for quoting and substantiation. We keep refining it based on real analyses. Still, no AI is flawless — use your own judgement when weighing the result.
Does the app work offline?
No, analyses and replies need an internet connection since they're processed by AI services on our server. Your saved history can still be viewed offline.
